float的中文意思为“缠打”，在德州扑克中指的是：通常在自己拥有位置优势的情况下，在翻牌圈之后本不应该跟注的牌却跟注了其他玩家，意图利用位置优势在转牌圈或者河牌圈通过诈唬的方式迫使对手弃牌，然后获得底池的行为。
float的行为不仅仅可以发生在翻牌圈之后，也可以发生在翻牌之前的跟注。
举个例子：
有这么一个牌局，底注100，盲注是400/800，你在按钮位置，底牌为Q，J，对方在枪口位置，翻牌前加注到2000，你跟注了。翻牌是5，7，8（彩虹面），对方再次下注2800，虽然是彩虹牌面，但有顺子的可能性，并且我还连一个对子都没有击中，但我觉得对方的牌力应该也不大，所以选择float，心想如果在转牌或者河牌还未击中，就选择诈唬了。结果转牌是一张4，对方选择过牌，这时我的机会就来了，直接诈唬，下注3000，果不其然，对方立马弃牌跑了。
